Community partnerships play a vital role in expanding access to healthcare, reducing barriers, and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations about prevention and wellness. Recently, Midway Specialty Care Center joined Community Building Advocates, South County Mental Health Center, and Campbell Health Solutions for a community outreach event focused on HIV prevention, education, and empowerment.
Throughout the event, representatives from each organization engaged with community members to provide accurate information about HIV, PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), sexual health, and available healthcare resources. By creating a welcoming environment for open dialogue, attendees were able to ask questions, learn about prevention options, and connect with organizations committed to supporting their health and well-being.
Education remains one of the most effective tools in reducing the stigma surrounding HIV. Events like these help foster understanding, encourage routine testing, and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health. They also reinforce the importance of ensuring that everyone has access to compassionate, evidence-based care and preventive services.
At Midway Specialty Care Center, we believe that improving community health is a shared responsibility. By working alongside organizations that share our commitment to education, prevention, and equitable access to care, we can reach more people and make a lasting impact.
We are grateful to Community Building Advocates, South County Mental Health Center, and Campbell Health Solutions for partnering with us on this important initiative. Together, we are building healthier communities—one conversation, one connection, and one person at a time.
