Women's Health in Fort Pierce
Women's health is more than an annual exam — it's continuous, evolving care that supports your physical and hormonal health from your twenties through menopause and beyond. At Midway Primary Care in Fort Pierce, we provide comprehensive women's health services in a welcoming, private environment where you can ask questions openly and get honest, thorough answers.
Our primary care physicians handle gynecological exams, Pap smears, contraception counseling, STI screening, breast health, and menopause management — so you don't always need a separate specialist referral for routine women's preventive care.
We accept most major insurance plans and welcome new patients. Whether you're due for your annual exam, need contraception guidance, or have concerns you've been putting off — we're here to help.
A broad range of preventive and ongoing women's health care under one roof.
Your annual GYN visit includes a pelvic exam, breast exam, Pap smear (cervical cancer screening per guidelines), STI screening, and a review of your reproductive and hormonal health. We follow USPSTF and ACOG guidelines to ensure you receive the right screenings at the right intervals.
Pap smears screen for abnormal cervical cells and HPV, catching pre-cancerous changes before they progress. We perform Pap smears in-office and follow up on any abnormal results with appropriate referrals or additional testing as needed. Recommended for women beginning at age 21.
We counsel and prescribe all major contraceptive options — combined oral contraceptives, progestin-only pills, contraceptive patches and rings, hormonal IUDs, copper IUDs, implants, and injections. We'll review your health history, lifestyle, and goals to help you choose the method that's right for you.
We provide confidential STI testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, herpes, and other infections. Routine STI screening is recommended for sexually active women at varying intervals based on risk factors. Results are handled with complete privacy and treated promptly when needed.
Hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, vaginal dryness, and sleep disruption are common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. We evaluate your symptoms, discuss treatment options including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal alternatives, and create a plan to restore your comfort and quality of life.
Women at every stage of life deserve accessible, comprehensive care.
Whether it's been one year or several, your annual GYN visit ensures you're up to date on Pap smears, STI screening, breast health, and any hormonal or reproductive concerns. Don't wait until something feels wrong — preventive care works.
Starting birth control, switching methods, or reconsidering your current option? We review your health history and lifestyle to help you choose the most effective and appropriate method — whether that's a pill, IUD, implant, or another approach.
Hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disruption don't have to be endured. We evaluate your symptoms, assess your hormone levels, and discuss treatment options to help you feel like yourself again — including hormone replacement therapy when appropriate.
If you've recently moved to Fort Pierce or simply haven't had a women's health provider, we welcome you. A first visit allows us to review your full history, complete any overdue screenings, and build a proactive care relationship going forward.
A comfortable, thorough visit in a private, respectful environment.
Call our Fort Pierce office at (772) 742-9270 to book your women's health appointment. Let us know what brings you in — whether it's your annual exam, a specific concern, or a contraception consultation — so we can allocate the right amount of time.
Your provider will review your medical and reproductive health history, current medications, menstrual cycle, and any concerns. This conversation sets the foundation for your exam and helps us tailor the visit to your specific needs.
As appropriate, your visit includes a pelvic exam, Pap smear, breast exam, and any indicated STI testing. Your provider will explain each part of the exam and answer your questions throughout. Chaperones are available upon request.
Lab and Pap results are typically available within a week. Your provider will contact you with findings and any needed follow-up. Prescriptions, referrals, or additional appointments are handled efficiently so your care stays on track.
