Midway Specialty Care · For Providers
Midway Specialty Care Center partners with primary care providers, specialists, and hospitals across Florida to deliver expert outpatient infectious disease care — and inpatient consultation when you need us most.
Find a Location to Refer ToWhen your patient needs infectious disease expertise, we're ready to accept the referral. We work closely with primary care physicians and specialists to ensure your patients receive coordinated, timely care — and keep you informed throughout.
Midway's board-certified infectious disease physicians are available for inpatient consultation and to provide a bridge to outpatient follow-up care. We help hospitals manage complex ID cases and ensure patients stay connected to care after discharge.
Referral Reasons
Our board-certified infectious disease specialists are experienced in managing a broad range of conditions. Common reasons providers refer to Midway include:
Comprehensive HIV management including antiretroviral therapy initiation, medication changes, viral load monitoring, and long-term disease management.
Oral and long-acting injectable PrEP, including Apretude (cabotegravir) injections, for patients at elevated risk of HIV acquisition.
Evaluation and treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C, including direct-acting antiviral regimens with high rates of sustained response.
Diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted infections, including gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, and complex or treatment-resistant presentations.
Systematic evaluation of unexplained fever and undiagnosed infections that have not responded to initial treatment or require specialist workup.
